In the South and Southeastern regions great cultures of peach, which have climatic conditions favorable to its development, the peach is widely grown. We classify the peach as yellow pulped and white pulped.

The varieties whose stone is more closely attached to the clingstone are ideal for desserts, juices and compotes and the ones whose stone is freestone are ideal for eating fresh, since they are softer. In terms of nutrition, the peach is rich in vitamins A,C, D and potassium.
