This is a regional fruit cultivated in the Brazilian North and Northeast. Cajá is a fruit with a smooth and thin skin, orange or reddish colored and with a bittersweet pulp.
We find hog plum being used in the preparation of juices,
jellies, liqueurs, ice creams etc. Hog plum is rich in minerals, such as calcium,
phosphorus and iron.
